The law does not exist in a vacuum. The issues supported by Andrew W. Seibert and The Seibert Law Firm are connected to the same real-world challenges clients face every day, from business pressures to family decisions to navigating complex systems.

Supporting the Bi-Partisan DIGNITY Act

Countless young people were brought to the United States as children. They grew up here, were educated here, and have spent their lives contributing to this country. The DIGNITY Act would give them a lawful path to remain in the only home they have ever known.

Who Are We Talking About?

  • Individuals brought to the U.S. as children
  • People who grew up in American schools, neighborhoods, and communities
  • Adults who would like to work, pay taxes, serve in the military, and raise families here
  • Men and women for whom this country is, in every real sense, home

What the DIGNITY Act Does

  • Provides a clear, lawful path to permanent status for eligible individuals
  • Requires proof of continuous presence, education or work history, and good moral character
  • Demands tax compliance and background checks
  • Offers certainty to hundreds of thousands of people currently living in legal limbo

Why We Support It

  • Fairness: currently thousands of persons cannot legally be employed, attend school, obtain a driver’s license, secure insurance, or otherwise live their lives as contributing members of the community they have grown up in, despite a desperate desire to do so
  • Community: these individuals are already our neighbors, colleagues, and contributors
  • Common sense: if given the chance they will pay taxes, grow our economy, and strengthen our communities
  • Decency: protecting people who have built their lives here is simply the right thing to do

This bill has the support of Democrats and Republicans in Congress. Few things in this country currently do. That is a testament to the common sense, reasonable and humanitarian nature of this bill.
